Building Better Business Resilience
Programme
Birchwood Forum’s specialist network to support the facilities management needs of all businesses both large and small is hosting its next meeting at the Genesis Centre Birchwood on the topic of business resilience.
The threats to business are probably greater than they have ever been, not just from traditional forces such as storms, fires and power failures, but increasingly from crime and especially CYBER crime. Also ever present is the ongoing threat from terrorism, both home grown and foreign. In order to ensure your company is ready to deal with any of these threats without serious consequences it is vital you are prepared.
The first presentation will confirm why you need to have a plan, give you some ideas on how to prepare it and what it should contain, and also show you some tools for testing it is robust.
The second presentation will cover technology which could help ease the pain of a major outage/issue covering topics like telecoms, communication, data access, business critical applications and staff productivity. It will also outline how cloud technology coupled with a proactive approach can help minimize risk.
The presentation will be in two parts, one part covering continuity i.e. how to plan for things going wrong and in the second session how a proactive approach could help reduce the risk of having to use your continuity plan.
The FM Network provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and information, promoting best practice and sharing business opportunities.
